Snappy is built for sharing real moments with the people who matter to you. These Community Guidelines explain what we expect from everyone on Snappy, and what happens if those expectations aren't met. They apply everywhere in the app - profiles, snaps, messages, and stories.
1. Be Respectful
Treat other people the way you'd want to be treated. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, and content that degrades or targets someone based on who they are - including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age - are never allowed, in public or private messages.
2. Keep It Real
Be yourself. Impersonating another person or organization, running fake or automated accounts, or misrepresenting who you are undermines the trust Snappy is built on and isn't allowed.
3. Safety First
We have zero tolerance for content or behavior that puts anyone at risk, including:
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form - this is reported to the relevant authorities without exception;
- Threats of violence, self-harm, or content that encourages either;
- Sexual exploitation, coercion, or harassment of any kind;
- Sharing someone's intimate images without their consent; and
- Illegal activity, including the sale of drugs, weapons, or stolen goods.
4. Respect Privacy
Only share photos, videos, or personal information about other people with their consent. Don't post someone's private information - like their address, phone number, or location - to harass or expose them ("doxxing").
5. No Spam or Manipulation
Don't use Snappy to send unsolicited bulk messages, farm friend connections, artificially inflate engagement, or manipulate the Service through bots, scripts, or fake accounts.
6. Enforcement
If you break these guidelines, we may take action depending on the severity and pattern of the violation, including:
- Removing the content;
- Issuing a warning;
- Temporarily restricting features on your account; or
- Permanently suspending your account.
7. Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake removing your content or restricting your account, you can request a review through the Report Center.
8. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as Snappy grows. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
